OREANDA-NEWS. June 02, 2015. Kaspersky Lab today announced that Chris Doggett, Managing Director of Kaspersky Lab North America, and Ross Hogan, Global Head of the Fraud Prevention Division at Kaspersky Lab, will speak at the upcoming Digital Banking Summit on June 8-10 in Austin, Texas. Focused on driving omnichannel excellence, the event will cover several key topics, including the latest in mobile & tablet banking, cyber security, ecommerce, mobile payments and wearable computing.

Ross Hogan will be joined by Peter Klimek, security expert with the fraud prevention division at Kaspersky Lab, in a joint discussion titled, “The Financial Security Landslide: Best Practices to Help Avoid a Cyberattack.”

  • When: June 8, 2015 at 2 p.m. CT
  • Where: Hilton Austin, 500 East 4th Street, Austin, TX
  • What: There’s a “Financial Security Landslide” building. The number of sophisticated attacks targeting banks and financial institutions is growing at a rapid pace. Any failure to quickly neutralize these threats puts the organization at risk for huge losses. In fact, only 53% of businesses felt that financial organizations did enough to protect their information and 74% of companies choose a financial organization according to their security reputation. This discussion will highlight recent cyberthreats targeting the banking industry and will cover best practices that financial institutions should follow to protect themselves from a cyberattack.

Chris Doggett will participate in a panel discussion titled, “Can Banks Defend Themselves Against Nation-State Cybersecurity Attacks?”

  • When: June 9, 2015 at 11:50 a.m. CT
  • Where: Hilton Austin, 500 East 4th Street, Austin, TX
  • What: Many of the recent large-scale data breaches and other attacks against banks have allegedly involved well-funded and well-organized teams of hackers from Iran, Russia and China that may be acting in retaliation for U.S. government policies. Is the industry equipped to defend itself and its customers against threats of this scale? What's working and what's not? A panel of experts will look at security incidents and the actors behind them, and share the latest information-sharing initiatives arming banks against the unending onslaught.
