OREANDA-NEWS. June 04, 2015. Ford President and CEO Mark Fields hosted a Town Hall for Ford College Graduates (FCG) recently at WHQ. Instead of delivering a formal presentation or traditional Town Hall, Fields was interviewed by Human Resources FCG Kyle Worthing, who talked with Fields about leadership, what he has learned throughout his career and the changes and opportunities facing the auto industry – and Ford – today.

Worthing began by asking Fields what motivated him to join Ford Motor Company nearly 26 years ago when he himself was finishing graduate school at Harvard University.

“I was the type of person that really had to have a lot of passion for the product or the service that I was going to go into, and I love cars,” said Fields.  “What’s also important to me is the culture of the place that I work and if I would feel comfortable in that environment.  We’re a family, and there is this sense of community that we have. That’s what attracted me, and that’s what always keeps me motivated.”
