OREANDA-NEWS. AVTOVAZ will increase vehicle production by 1.7% to 585,000 units in 2015. At the same time160,000 Renault, Nissan and Datsun vehicles will be assembled, that is 19.5% more than a year ago, and Lada production will decrease by 3.7% to 425,000 vehicles. This was told by AVTOVAZ president Bo Andersson at the Russian Automotive Manufacturers Union committee meeting.

According to Vedomosti newspaper, in summer 2014, Mr. Andersson announced AVTOVAZ plans to produce 300,000 vehicles for Renault-Nissan alliance in 2015, in autumn  -  about 240,000 vehicles planned to be assembled (in addition to 400,000 Lada vehicles), in February 2015 - about adjusted total plan of 712,000 vehicles (without brand structure). So, while forecast of Lada production remains unchanged and even increases slightly, production plan for the alliance declines by about a third. Renault and Nissan also have own enterprises in Russia, but their production plans for 2015 are not disclosed.

AVTOVAZ feels better than the market - according to AEB, Lada sales in Russia decreased by 30% to 114,270 vehicles during five months of 2015. The company increased prices too, but less (due to higher localization level). In addition, it benefits from state support in the automotive market, a dealer continues. Since the beginning of the year 36% of Lada vehicles were sold due to the state program of parc replacement, 8.5% - under preferential car lending, over 5% - due to government purchases, Bo Andersson said. He believes that these measures should be expanded this year.
