OREANDA-NEWS. During the 19th annual St. Petersburg International Economic Forum Sberbank of Russia and the Ministry of Energy signed an agreement with the goal to combine efforts and develop strategic cooperation. The document was signed by CEO and Chairman of the Executive Board of Sberbank Herman Gref and the Minister of Energy Alexander Novak.

The agreement envisages the possibility of cooperation in various areas including the development of the oil and fuel sector, as well as issues of energy conservation and increasing energy efficiency, and technological and cost audits for investment projects with state participation. Other areas of cooperation include holding training courses for employees, carrying out manager training and development programs, and implementing modern banking technology for managing financial resources and products.

Both parties expressed confidence that the information exchange within the framework of this agreement will contribute to solving the global development challenges of the oil and fuel sector of the Russia Federation.
