OREANDA-NEWS. Interim Prime Minister Natalia Gherman today had the first working meeting with acting cabinet members, held in an informal way.

"The acting government will operate during the next period, in accordance with the article No 71 of the law on government, which provides for exercising the position of general management and control over activity of central bodies, carrying out programmes on economic and social development, ensuring security of state and citizens, performing the functions of managing public affairs", Gherman said.

The participants in the meeting set working methods for the interim period and priorities on the government's agenda, among which, ensuring the good implementation of underway projects, as well as continuing reforms in the key-sectors to ensure the country's European integration.

Also, the acting cabinet reported about the current situation in the financial-banking, budgetary and social sector.

Starting from 22 June, Gherman is interim premier until taking the oath by members of new government.
