OREANDA-NEWS. Ford helped the U.S. Embassy in Paris celebrate Independence Day by putting two Mustangs on display at the official 2015 Fourth of July Garden party this week.

The event was held close to the “Palais de l’Elys?e”, residence of the French president, where more than 2,500 VIP guests got to see a red fastback and a blue convertible up close.

The all-new Mustang – on sale in Europe for the first time in the car’s 50-year history – is available with Ford’s 5.0-litre V8 engine delivering 421 PS and 530 Nm of torque, or the more fuel-efficient 2.3-litre EcoBoost engine delivering 317 PS and 432 Nm of torque.

The 5.0-litre V8 fastback model with six-speed manual transmission reaches 100 km/h (62 mph) from a standing start in 4.8 seconds – faster than any Ford in the Europe since the low-volume Ford GT supercar launched in 2005. The Ford Mustang 2.3-litre EcoBoost fastback manual reaches the marker in 5.8 seconds.
