OREANDA-NEWS. 1.State government has granted government waste/ guachar land admeasuring 124445 sq. mt. and not 1769986 sq. mt. land.

2. Gauchar Land equivalent amount of alternate land adm.1-37-46 in lieu of Gauchar were handed over to the Government apart from 30% additional amount of occupancy price for Gauchar reform was also paid to the Government.

3. Company has no role to play in deciding Jantri price.

4. With regards to air and water pollution, the company is in compliance with Gujarat Pollution Control Board’s norms.

5. Land Acquisition:

Award was issued as per Right to Fair Compensation and Transparency in L.A. Act 2013 and entire process of acquisition was carried out as per the present norms.

The company is carrying out/carried out its activities on the land owned by the Company either by way of land purchased, acquired or allotted by Government for which necessary consideration as determined has been fully paid and stipulations attached to the allotment are also complied with. As part of the exercise only such lands that are allotted to the Company has been taken up for handing over of the possession to the Company

Other than these identified and earmarked land no forceful possession of any other land is being taken.

6. The Company has acquired land as per its corridor/coals stack requirement

7. EPGL is  a public utility service since it is engaged in supplying power to State of Gujarat and the land is for enabling transportation of coal through conveyor and will reduce the carbon emissions.
