OREANDA-NEWS. In the first half of 2015 Hyundai Motor plant in St. Petersburg produced 110,200 Hyundai Solaris and Kia Rio, which is 6.3% less than a year ago. According to the company, despite the difficult situation in the Russian automotive market, Hyundai Motor plant in St. Petersburg continues stable operation, producing about 930 vehicles per day.

Hyundai plant in Russia operates three shifts five days a week and does not plan any unscheduled stoppages, Hyundai Motor CIS press service reports. The Hyundai Solaris and the Kia Rio, assembled at Hyundai Motor Manufacturing Rus plant, enjoy stable demand and are among the TOP-3 best selling models in Russia. In 2015, Hyundai plant in St. Petersburg plans to produce about 228,000 vehicles, which is 14% higher than the production capacity of the enterprise. Over 940,000 vehicles have already been assembled at the plant since January 2011 when commercial production was started.
