The crude oil production volume of the TATNEFT Group of Companies amounted to 13 million 258 thousand tons   in the 1st half of this year, which exceeded the last year level by 122 thousand tons. The significant increase in the drilling operations volume was specifically due to the extension of works at Ashalchinskoye extra-viscous oil field.
Significant results have been achieved at the TANECO plants' Complex. A plant was commissioned for production of base oils, which are raw material for the production of engine and transmission oils. Putting in commercial operation the combined hydrocracking installation at the end of 2014 allowed starting production of new types of high-quality fuel for land and air transport. In H1 the volume of processing amounted to 4.3 million tons of crude oil. The conversion depth reached 74.3%.
According to Nail Maganov, as part of the crude oil deep conversion factory construction, a delayed coking unit is being built. The unit commissioning is scheduled for the end of 2015. The designed capacity of the unit is processing of 2 million tons of heavy oil residues per year.
The coke produced at this facility will be used for power generation at the Nizhnekamsk CHP. The first start-up facility of the project of reconstruction of the thermal power station to generate electricity using low-grade steam turbines has been prepared for launching. The launch of two additional turbines will increase the installed capacity of the thermal power station by 350 MW. This will allow forming a single waste-free production cycle of generating own energy.
