OREANDA-NEWS. Ukraine and Kazakhstan have agreed to further develop relations in trade and economic cooperation on the basis of principles and norms of the World Trade Organization and do not apply in bilateral trade the provisions of Annex 6 to the FTA between the CIS member states. It actually means the commitment of the parties to abolish the artificial barriers in trade, which will lead to an increase in trade between the countries.

Appropriate arrangements have been set out in the Protocol of the twelfth session of the joint Intergovernmental Ukrainian-Kazakh Commission for Economic Cooperation, signed by Vice Prime Minister - Minister of Regional Development, Construction, Housing and Utilities of Ukraine, Head of Ukrainian side of the Commission Hennadii Zubko and First Deputy Prime Minister of Kazakhstan, Head of the Kazakh side of the Commission Bakytzhan Sagintayev.

Ukraine and Kazakhstan are to send delegations of experts to resolve the issue of supply to Ukraine of Kazakh A-grade coal, to work out the issue of supply to Ukraine and transit via pipelines of crude oil. The participants of the meeting also agreed to study the issue of supply to Ukraine of Kazakhstan natural gas and transit through the territory of Kazakhstan of Turkmen and Uzbek natural gas.
