The capacity of market for repair of body parts of foreign cars is 5 times more than domestic cars

OREANDA-NEWS. According to the research of agency "AUTOSTAT", the market for exterior parts of passenger cars in Russia in 2014 on the basic positions is estimated at 4.63 million units. At the same time the share of components for foreign cars is about 60% (2.71 million units).

In monetary terms, the Russian market is estimated at over 750 million dollars. But the total value of parts for repair of foreign cars (approximately 630 mln. dollars) is almost 5 times higher than the price of parts for domestic cars (about 130 mln. dollars).

The research examined the details of the exterior, which are damaged in an accident. The specialists of agency also estimated size of the market of automotive glass, which need to be replaced not only in case of accident, but as a result of damage from the impact of stones. Market capacity in 2014 was 0.47 million units (about 46 million dollars).
