OREANDA-NEWS. Gazpromneft Aero, operator of the Gazprom Neft aviation fuels business, has begun offering refuelling services for scheduled Aeroflot flights in Dubai, United Arab Emirates (UAE) — allowing the company to double monthly sales volumes in the UAE from July this year, with monthly sales volumes now in excess of 400 tonnes.

The Gazpromneft aviation refuelling network now includes seven airports located throughout the most significant tourist and business centres of the UAE. Refuelling services in this country are fulfilled under a guaranteed supply agreement concluded between Gazpromneft Aero and the Emirates National Oil Company (ENOC) in 2013, ensuring the guaranteed refuelling of Gazpromneft Aero’s Russian clients in the UAE, as well as clients of ENOC at those airports at which Gazpromneft Aero has a presence, throughout Russia and the CIS.

Gazpromneft Aero CEO Vladimir Egorov commented: “We place a very high value on our strategic partnership with ENOC, which has allowed Gazpromneft Aero to offer the very best in aviation refuelling services to Russian carriers in the UAE. The expansion of these services abroad is one of the company’s key priorities. We have achieved significant success here in recent years, developing long-term relationships with the most significant Russian airlines and collaborating with market leaders in aviation refuelling worldwide.”

Gazpromneft-Aero is a subsidiary of Gazprom Neft. The company has been in business since 1st January 2008, specialising in aircraft refuelling and the “wing-tip” supply of aviation fuels. Gazpromneft Aero has been an aviation-fuel strategic partner of the International Air Transport Association (IATA) since December 2008. Total sales volumes of aviation fuels internationally in 2014 amounted to 290,000 tonnes — an increase of 32 percent on 2013 levels. Consistent with the company’s strategy, Gazpromneft Aero plans to increase its international sales network to 200 airports by 2025.
