OREANDA-NEWS. Tele2, an alternative mobile operator, has announced revolutionary changes in Gudok service conditions. Starting from 20 August the company has cancelled payments for downloads of the tunes: all users of the service may install an unlimited number of melodies for free. The subscriber fee for the Gudok service totals from 2 to 2.5 rubles per day depending on the region.

Starting from 20 August 10, 2015 Tele2 will be the first among Russian mobile operators to provide all Gudok tunes for free, without validity period and additional payments for prolongation of use. Subscribers will not have to spend money to purchase themes they like and limit their choice just to a few. Users may replace tones as many times as they want to.

The Gudok service gives Tele2 subscribers an option to use songs or jokes instead of a regular dial tone that callers hear while waiting for the phone to be answered. The tunes are easy to manage: subscribers may not only create their own collection by compiling playlists, setting the time and day of the week for playing it but also copy tunes from their friends, exchange and load their files. All these additional options are also provided for free.

A possibility of a free download and a change of tunes make it much easier for subscribers to use the service. Such unique approach to billing has been launched on the Russian market for the first time. Earlier subscribers who use the service had to pay every theme separately and in certain cases pay in addition to prolong the use of the service. Tele2 subscribers may considerably cut on expenses thanks to a single cost of the service (from (2 to 2.5 rubles per day) that includes a download of any tune, additional options and unlimited replacement of themes.

The Gudok service was launched by Tele2 in 2008 and still remains one of the most demanded entertainment services. Thus, every month subscribers install over 300 thou themes instead of their regular dial tones, whereas a number of the service’s regular users exceeds 3 mn.
