OREANDA-NEWS. Russian dealers of KIA in July sold 13346 cars (-13%), which provided the Korean brand with the leadership in the market of foreign cars. According to the press service of KIA Motors Rus, July entered the one of the three most successful months for the KIA in Russia during the current year, by losing by indicators only for April (13,902 units) and June (13,928 units).

In the first seven months of 2015 sales of KIA in the Russian market were 89,561 cars (-18%). The dynamics of the sales of the brand shows a relative stabilization in the last few months: if in May it was fixed less sales volume by 27% than in May of 2014, then in July, the difference of comparable figures was 13%. This result is much better than average for the market, which in January-July 2015 was 35%.

This result was possible thanks to regular updating of the model range, the use of government support programs for car loans, as well as own initiatives of KIA Motors Rus, including favorable loans, insurance, and trade-in, said the company. For example, in July of 2015 KIA Motors Rus offered attractive conditions for the purchase of best-selling cars by trade-in program with the additional benefit to customers. The result was the sale by the program of trade-in 2735 cars per a month (it was 20% of total sales): 1924 KIA Rio, 429 and 382 KIA cee'd KIA Sportage.

KIA Finance Loan Program provided from January to July of 2015 31.8% of total sales, it was sold on credit 28,504 cars. In July, the share of sold cars on credit was 37% (4959 units). Among sold on credit KIA cars in January - July about 76% (21,716 units) was sold with the assistance of government subsidies to support car loans, and in July, the share of sales was 92% (4591 cars) from the total volume of sales on credit. About 16,137 of KIA customers chosen the purchase through a loan “Go! KIA Finance” with the residual payment during January - July.

The leader in terms of sales in the segment B+ is a model KIA Rio, sales of which were 9151 cars that is the record value for the year. Regarding the July of 2014 KIA Rio showed the growth in demand by 34%. This model is the absolute best-selling brand by the overall total sales for the first seven months: the clients received 51,839 cars (-4%). Partly this success was the result of the launch of the updated hatchback Rio in June 2015, which has become a logical continuation of the launch of the updated sedan Rio in April. Only in July, the share of the updated hatchback Rio in total sales was about 15%.

Second place in terms of sales in July was occupied by the family model KIA cee'd: it was sold 1637 five-door hatchback cee'd, pro_cee'd three-door and estate cars cee'd SW (-43%). The third by level of demand was KIA Sportage, this compact crossover has found 1126 buyers in July (-45%). These models occupy the second and third places, respectively, as well as by sales for the first seven months of 2015. From January to July it was sold in Russia 11,352 KIA cee'd (-29%) and 10,960 KIA Sportage (-34%).
