OREANDA-NEWS. On August 29 a Donor Day Blood Drive and a concert were held in Novosibirsk in support of the Russian Ministry of Healthcare and Federal Biomedical Agency Blood and Blood Component Donation Promotion Program. The events were a part of the MUZARTERY Roadshow project, sponsored by general partner UTair Aviation. The Roadshow is touring through 20 Russian cities, bringing blood donation supporters together across the nation. Novosibirsk was the 12th city in this Russian national tour.

UTair flew project participants to Novosibirsk, the capital of Siberia, where the 12th Donor Day event took place at two special mobile blood donation units were set up in Novosibirsk Central Park. Students of the Novosibirsk State University of Economics and Management actively participated in the event. The Donor Day event was followed by a concert with performances from popular local bands in Novosibirsk including the rock band Soulshop, the duo of Diana Wilder & Vitalii Mali and MUZARTERY-2015 finalist Vova Minyailo. T-Killah and MUZARTERY-2015 finalist Arevik Bagdasaryan joined the event with special guest performances.

In addition, general partner UTair welcomed MUZARTERY participants at a special photo zone near the main stage throughout the day not only to take a picture with famous artists, but also to make their own creative photo for submission for a photo contest. Participant Regina Rakhimova won first prize for best picture and was awarded a certificate for a free flight to any selected destination within UTair’s vast route network.

The MUZARTERY national music contest is one of the most prominent youth-oriented projects organized under the auspices of the State Blood and Blood Components Donation Promotion Program. The event inspires hundreds of talented song writers, musicians and performers to create new compositions dedicated to the cause of blood donation.

MUZARTERY is not the only project of the Russian Ministry of Healthcare and Federal Biomedical Agency joined by UTair Aviation. In 2014 UTair helped organize the Air Marathon for a Good Cause, a series of blood donation events along a more than 30,000 km long route across Russia. In 2015 UTair provided support for the 70 Years of Victory Blood Drive running through five Hero Cities and Cities of Military Glory across the country. More than 1,500 people participated in the donor movement in that period.
