OREANDA-NEWS. ”Throughout a year the Parliament has been blocking privatization. I hope they would finally find the political will to hold open and transparent privatization and destroy another enclave of corruption not just inside public governance authorities, but notably in state-owned companies,” Prime Minister of Ukraine Arseniy Yatsenyuk stressed at a meeting of the Financial Stability Board on Monday.

He stressed that the Government had taken a decision to remain strategically significant enterprises in the state ownership: "All the rest should be sold through transparent and public tenders with preserving a mandatory social package for employees and making appropriate investment in the Ukrainian economy".

These enterprises are not to be sold "to Ukrainian oligarchs, as it has been for two decades of Ukrainian privatization", urged Arseniy Yatsenyuk.
