OREANDA-NEWS. The cabinet today passed a draft law on improving regulations on the Moldovan petroleum products market.

The document stipulates, inter alia, liberalisation of import of petroleum products by farmers without paying licence costs. At the same time, the amendments to the present Law on petroleum products market also include new elements, such as: additional responsibilities provided to the National Energy Regulatory Agency, specification of transactions with petroleum products and way of customs declaration.

The modifications are meant to produce immediate effects both on consumers and the business environment, by limiting abusive practices in prices formation, in parallel with excluding present drawbacks from the competition environment.

The parliament is to consider and approve the bill.
