OREANDA-NEWS. The government today amended and completed the annex to health development strategy for 2008-2017.

The amendments are determined by the need to provide the people with the quality health services and are referred to the action plan for enforcing the strategy, which is based on the dynamics of reorganising the health system initiated during the last 10 years.

Activities seen in the updated action plan are aimed at adjusting the health system to the international standards, by applying up-to-date medical technologies which will ensure a high level of health services in the country and adapting the local health system to the needs of people.

Costs necessary for implementation will be included in the territorial programmes on medical assistance development, in the limits of financial means seen yearly in the budgets of the public authorities and from other sources, under the legislation. Sources from the development fund of the National Insurance Company will be used to this end.
