OREANDA-NEWS. The first joint press-tour arranged by Rosatom and Rossotrudnichestvo within ‘New Generation’ program took place from 22 to 26 September, 2015. 30 media representatives from 16 countries of Europe, Asia, and Africa at the age of 25 - 35 specializing in energy area got an opportunity to visit the major facilities of the nuclear industry in Moscow and Moscow Region.

Within the press-tour the participants visited Public Joint Stock Company ‘Mashinostroitelny Zavod’ (Electrostal), got an idea of fabrication of fuel pellets, fuel elements and fuel assemblies, processing in absorber rod fabrication. At NRC ‘Kurchatov Institute’ the journalists had an opportunity to see the Center’s scientific and research, and processing infrastructure including  F-1 reactor, a set of T-10 tokomak pilot thermonuclear facilities, Data Processing of Kurchatov NBIC sciences and technologies, resource center for X-ray and synchrotron researches.

During the visit to the National Research Nuclear University MEPhI, the media representatives met the University administration and foreign students, and saw the achievements of the Engineering, Nano and Laser Centers.

The journalists went to the exhibition ‘70-year anniversary of the nuclear industry. Success chain reaction’ held in Moscow Manege, and special events in honor of the 70-year anniversary of the nuclear industry held in the Kremlin.

Rossotrudnichestvo has been implementing a program of short-term familiarization tours to Russia for young representatives of political, social, scientific and business communities of foreign countries since 2011. The development of the delegations visit program in close cooperation with the partners specializing in particular areas is the project conceptual novelty of this year. ‘We make the program so that the participants’ professional expectations could be realized,’ noted Pavel Zhuravlev, the Federal Agency representative.
