OREANDA-NEWS. Toumaz Limited (AIM: TMZ, 'Toumaz', or the 'Group'), a pioneer in low-power, wireless semiconductor technologies for digital audio and healthcare, announces that ROBERTS, the UK leader in portable radios and connected internet radios, has launched a range of connected audio devices, powered by the Group's Frontier Silicon's UNDOKTM audio platform.

R-line by ROBERTS is a new premium audio range including devices across all key home audio categories: wireless speakers, sound system with DAB and CD, soundbar and a hybrid radio offering FM, DAB and Internet radio. The devices can be used individually or as part of multi-room wireless streaming systems.

The comprehensive range, comprising the practical and portable R-Series, the stylish and contemporary S-Series and a bass-integrated soundbar, offers a myriad of features including streaming across Wi-Fi or Bluetooth, streaming user's music collection, access to online music services like Spotify, or listening to Internet, CD, DAB, or FM radio, with the same music in every room, or different music in each room.

UNDOKTM is a set of hardware modules, firmware, APIs and mobile apps which enable a flexible and powerful multi-room experience for connected audio products. All devices using UNDOK are interoperable. UNDOKTM has been adopted by numerous audio manufacturers including Ruark, Revo, Technisat, Hama, Dual, Argon, Goodmans, with others announcing products soon. Jointly, they represent the largest open multi-room ecosystem.

The ROBERTS R-Line range of products will be available in the UK and Europe from early 2016.

Prem Rajalingham, VP Sales and Marketing at Frontier Silicon, said:

"ROBERTS are renowned for their commitment to quality and sound in all aspects of their product range - whether traditional DAB radios or the latest generation connected audio products.  We are delighted to continue our relationship - testimony to our ability to provide innovative, reliable and cost-effective solutions. "

Owen Watters, CEO of ROBERTS, said:

"Our goal is to provide our customers with devices which allow them to 'rediscover their music' via DAB, online, or CD.  We looked for a technology platform feature rich and flexible enough to enable a wide class of product types - different user-interfaces, intuitive apps, strong connectivity, robust performance, were some of the key criteria. Frontier's UNDOKTM platform was the obvious choice - no other solution allowed us to develop such a diverse range, so quickly. We are delighted by the outcome."
