OREANDA-NEWS. Sberbank has held a business breakfast titled "Diversification: no alternative despite all the variety of choice" during the Sochi-2015 International Investment Forum.

Speakers at the event included: Minister of Economic Development of the Russian Federation, Alexey Ulyukaev; Minister of Finance of the Russian Federation, Anton Siluanov; Minister of Finance of the Russian Federation between 2000-2011, Alexei Kudrin; CEO of the Russian Direct Investment Fund, Kirill Dmitriev; Head of the Federal Antimonopoly Service, Igor Artemyev; Rector of the New Economic School, Simeon Djankov; and, Chairman of the State Duma Committee for Budget and Taxes, Andrei Makarov. The discussion was moderated by Herman Gref, CEO, and Chairman of the Executive Board of Sberbank.

"Today we talked about the things that have already been under discussion for 300 years", said Herman Gref at the opening ceremony. "And today, there is nothing more important for the Russian economy than diversification."

In the course of the discussion, those present in the hall took part in two interactive polls. According to the most popular answer to the question about the way we should approach diversification, we should develop and strengthen the competition. For the question whether you believe that Russian exports will become more diversified in 10 years, nearly 40 per cent of respondents opted for: "There will be no diversification without private initiative".

The business breakfast was broadcasted live on Russia-24 channel and on Sberbank's website.
