OREANDA-NEWS. Tele2, an alternative mobile operator, ran the seventh all-Russia People Open Day. The event beat all records and gathered the impressive number of the company’s employees − around 2 300 people.

On 2 October 2015, members of the Tele2 board chiefs and employees of different subdivisions left their working places and tried on new roles of consultants and promoters in the company’s stores and city streets. Throughout the day they explained advantages of the operator’s tariffs and services, answered visitors’ questions and connected new clients to the network.

Participation of the company’s top managers turned into a good tradition. Deputy CEO Jere Calmes connected new clients in Kaluga, Chief Operational Officer Dmitriy Lopatukhin consulted the store’s visitors in Smolensk, Director of Sales and Mass Marketing Igor Maystrenko along with Sales and Retail Chain Development Director Aleksandr Smolin answered questions of Tula residents.

The seventh People Open Day showed impressive results and beat previous records. This time the event involved 750 Tele2 points of sale in 56 regions of Russia. This was the first time when the event involved the regions connected as a part of the deal with Rostelecom. Sales in stores that took part in the event increased by 65% compared to a regular business day.

The first People Open Day took place at Tele2 in October 2011. Then the event gathered 600 employees in 179 points of sales. Since the beginning of 2015 Tele2 started providing mobile services in 22 new regions, launched dozens of 3G/4G networks and expanded its retail network up to 2 200 stores and stalls so that the operator’s subscribers could use affordable mobile services.
