OREANDA-NEWS. The company "MB Trucks Vostok", which unites enterprises of KAMAZ and Daimler AG for the production of heavy-duty Mercedes-Benz and medium-Mitsubishi Fuso, resumed the production of Fuso Canter on September 21st.

The assembly was stopped in April of 2015 amid a sharp drop in demand for commercial vehicles. "We plan to increase our market share to 5% in 2015 in the segment of trucks 3,5-16 tons, and the resumption of local production will give a new impetus," - a company spokesman informed "Za rulem.RF".

As noted in the "MB Trucks Vostok", the production resumed after the "fall of the wall" between the conveyors Mitsubishi Fuso and Mercedes-Benz, which are located close in the industrial park territory in Naberezhnye Chelny. Earlier automakers combined the joint ventures to assemble heavy trucks Mercedes-Benz and medium-Mitsubishi Fuso Canter, located in Naberezhnye Chelny, in the same production site to reduce costs.
