Vero will drive growth in the high-potential CEEMEA region by bringing the full range of Willis’s global expertise and analytical tools to clients and prospects in the natural resources sector. He has started the transition into his new role and takes it up fully on January 1, 2016.

He joined Willis in November 2013, having previously worked for JLT, Guest Krieger and Marsh. His current role at Willis focuses on energy liability in the global natural resources team in London.

Nick Dussuyer, Global Head of Natural Resources Industry, Willis, said: “Julian can leverage a wealth of experience and expertise from his time at Willis and in the industry. His skill-set and attributes make him a great fit for driving our natural resources business in the CEEMEA region. Our planned union with Gras Savoye will open new opportunities and Julian’s role will be key to connecting and bringing the best of Willis to better serve the needs of our natural resources clients and prospects in this important region.”

Toby Wemyss, CEEMEA Regional CEO, Willis, said: “Julian brings strong relationships into this role from his work with complex programmes for global clients in oil, gas, power, chemical and mining. That experience will prove invaluable as he builds new links across the region and really strengthens the Willis offer to this critical sector.”

Julian Vero said: “It is a privilege to be joining the CEEMEA region at this very exciting time, and it is one of the major growth areas for Willis.
