OREANDA-NEWS. The Central Bank of Ireland has published the Irish responses to the October 2015 Euro Area Bank Lending Survey

Results Summary:

  • Credit standards were unchanged on loans to enterprises across all loan categories examined during the third quarter of 2015 and are expected to remain unchanged during the fourth quarter. Overall demand for credit from enterprises increased in the third quarter.
  • Credit standards tightened with respect to lending to households for house purchases while remaining unchanged with respect to consumer credit and other lending. Household loan demand for house purchases remained unchanged in the third quarter, while increasing for consumer credit and other lending.
  • Access to retail and wholesale funding sources was mostly unchanged during the third quarter of 2015 and is expected to remain unchanged during the fourth quarter of 2015. The EAPP was reported to have improved market financing conditions, but not to have had an impact on credit standards or terms and conditions to enterprises or to households.
