OREANDA-NEWS. Exicon Ltd., and Kony, Inc., have forged a broad new partnership aimed at helping customers accelerate their transition to mobile by providing a "plug and play" mobile app solution. Exicon and Kony will work together to provide companies with mobile workflows, tools, and utilities that rapidly reduces their time-to-market, while allowing organizations to establish better relationships with their users through mobile.

Commenting on the new partnership, Exicon CEO and co-founder Stefan Rust said, "Enterprise apps are about productivity. As a result they are not focused on downloads but more importantly engagement is what matters for companies. With this partnership, our customers and businesses can now focus on building great apps that users want to engage with multiple times a day."

Exicon estimates that corporations and governments will be investing approximately $160 billion this year to become more mobile-centric organizations. These dollars will flow into tools, software licenses, app development, hosting, advertising, and app management. According to Forrester Research, $14 billion will be specifically dedicated to mobile applications developed by third-party application development specialists.

"Industry research firm IDC is projecting that over a 1 billion smartphones will be shipped by 2018, and this year alone, they expect mobile commerce spending to be $25 billion," said Dave Shirk, president of Products and Marketing, Kony, Inc. "With this explosive growth and mobile adoption, many companies have placed Mobile as a top priority for their business. By joining forces, Kony and Exicon can help organizations quickly adopt mobility and rapidly deliver mobile solutions for their customers, partners and employees."

Les Russell, global head of Kony's partner organization, noted, "Exicon brings a great single window service for mobile relationship management together with a powerful network of thousands of qualified mobile app development companies. Paired with Kony's award-winning suite of tools, the partnership offers customers a complimentary end to end offering for the mobile ecosystem, serving the needs of marketing, business and technology groups ensuring security, branding and speed."

Exicon and Kony will host a series of seminars and workshops focused on specific sectors and customer groups. The first seminars will take place in early October across Asia and the EMEA region, with a focus on serving CMOs, CDOs, and CIOs in the financial services sector. Kony and Exicon will help align enterprise customers at the beginning of their mobile journeys as they transition from web-based business models to mobile-based business models.
