OREANDA-NEWS. With the presences of the Bahia State Governor, Mr. Rui Costa, and the president of Ford South America, Mr. Steven Armstrong,  an educational program was announced for disadvantaged young in Cama?ari, where Ford has an industrial complex that produces the Ka and EcoSport models. Supported by Ford Fund, the goal of this program is to qualify students of public schools aiming to prepare them to enter the labor market.

The program is part of the company’s social responsibility actions in Brazil and was created through a partnership with Brazilian Industry Education Entities (SESI and SENAI). The project will benefit 100 students and initially 30 of them will be chosen to be apprentices at Ford’s factory. The program will contemplate students with technical and behavioral training. Additionally, Ford will offer internship opportunities, initially, for 30 apprentices in Cama?ari’s plant.

“We want to offer students a future perspective focused in developing their competences”, said Steven Armstrong.
