OREANDA-NEWS. JSC Rusatom Service and MVM Paks Ltd. signed a framework agreement on the supply of equipments and spare parts for the maintenance and upgrading of the four existing units of the Hungarian Paks NPP on 27 October.

The agreement is a framework which defines the basic principles of interaction between the parties, the specific conditions of the supply will be issued as an Appendix to this Agreement.

The signing took place in the framework of the working visit of the Paks NPP at Novovoronezh NPP. Evgenii Salkov, General Director of Rusatom Service and Istvan Hamvas, CEO of Paks NPP signed the agreement.

"The Russian-Hungarian cooperation in the nuclear energy this year marks its 60th anniversary and we are glad that our cooperation not just continues successfully, but it is also extended to such areas as maintenance and modernization of nuclear power plants" - said Evgenii Salkov.

"The framework agreement on the service and modernization of the Paks NPP is a new milestone of the fruitful cooperation, which was carried out with the Russian partner over the 30 years of operation of the nuclear power plant, the increase in capacity and the life extention of the Paks NPP" - said Istvan Hamvas.
