OREANDA-NEWS. Zaporizhzhya Titanium and Magnesium Combine LLC (part of Group DF titanium business), increased the production of titanium sponge by 32,6% (from 4 125.4 to 5 471.4 tons) for 8 months of 2015 compared to the corresponding period in 2014.

"The plant increases the production of its core product - titanium sponge. For 8 months, the plant managed not only to produce more finished product, but also to sell more. Net income amounted to UAH 658.9 million that is 22.7% more than in the same period of 2014. The company complies fully with the production plans", the director of ZTMC Volodymyr Sivak commented.

For 8 months of 2015, the plant increased its profit before tax to UAH 217.3 million that is 18.4% more than for 8 months of 2014. The amount of taxes and fees paid to the budgets of different levels amounted to UAH 238, 221 million.

For 8 months of 2015, the company invested UAH 24.9 million to major repairs. Among the biggest are the ore-smelting furnace №2; the repair of two electrolytic cells for magnesium production from magnesium chloride. In addition, to ensure a stable power supply, the power line was upgraded (support №3). The company also carried out the repair of a decanter centrifuge that will provide drying sludges of industrial wastes in the central industrial waste treatment facilities of the plant.
