OREANDA-NEWS. "GAZ Group", which launched the serial production of the new all - metal vans "Gazel Next”, intends to restore its positions in the market of vans and to occupy at least 50%. It was stated by the president of "GAZ Group", Vadim Sorokin, by adding that based on the results of sales in the most successful 2013 the capacity of this segment is potentially about 100 thousand cars per year. Currently, "GAZ Group" occupies 26% of market share of all-metal vans, said a company spokesman.

The president of "GAZ Group" noted that 50% of the segment of vans – is a minimum target, which the company has set itself. He recalled that with the launch of "Gazel Next” of on-board modifications "GAZ Group" has managed to increase its share from 49-50% to 84-86% of the market.

According to Vadim Sorokin, the facilities, created for the production of a new all-metal van "Gazel Next”, permit to produce up to 40 thousand vehicles per year, with two-shift operation, but with the introduction of additional shifts the production volumes can be increased. Investments in the project were about 9 billion rubles.

As the director of division of "Light Commercial Vehicles" of "GAZ Group", Paul Sereda, informed the agency "AUTOSTAT", a new all-metal van "Gazel Next” will strengthen the offer of "GAZ Group" in this market segment, where the company until today was presented by the model of "Gazel Business". According to him, at the initial stage of the sales the new all-metal van "Gazel Next” will occupy 20-30% of the sales of vans "GAZ", and in future years it will substitute on the market "Gazel Business".

Sales of the new all-metal van "Gazel Next” will start with two modifications: cargo van (from 1,040 million rubles) and cargo and passenger van-combi (from 1.115 million rubles). In the first quarter of 2016 "GAZ Group" plans to bring to market a minibus “Gazel Next”.
