OREANDA-NEWS. November 16, 2015. Nearly 400 Delta customers traveling from New York City and Los Angeles to the 2015 Summit at Sea, a three-day voyage for 2,000 of today’s most entrepreneurial leaders in business and culture, will be treated to a unique in-flight experience Thursday before landing in Miami to set sail over the weekend.

Delta is hosting two “Festival Shuttle” flights to engage thought leaders from both NYC and LA who are participating in the Summit at Sea event. The invite-only experience included expedited check-in & security, a pre-flight brunch, a distinctive selection of gifts, and specialty food and beverages on board.

Passengers who purchased the invite-only ticket on the 737-900ER flights included leaders from companies like Google, Disney, Amazon, LinkedIn and many others. Summit at Sea customers departing from LGA began their journey with a pre-flight brunch at Prime Tavern, while on the West Coast, guests kicked off their journey at the popular LAX restaurant Lemonade. Once on-board, passengers from both coasts were treated to gift bags filled with goodies perfect for their Miami destination, such as sunglasses, sunscreen and beach totes. During the flight, a few lucky winners were also gifted free travel packages featuring airline tickets and hotel stays at various Delta destinations.

Participants tweeted from the flight, using the hashtag #deltafestivalshuttle. "Passing by an island of clouds, on one of the most enjoyable flights ever. #deltafestivalshuttle" tweeted journalist Charles Thorp.

Delta launched the “Festival Shuttle” concept earlier this year to engage the E&P and tech industries in a new and relevant way. These flights have proven to be meaningful opportunities for the airline to provide curated travel experiences for communities and industries that are key to its business.

“Delta Festival Shuttle flights are just another way Delta continues to build its brand in innovative ways and engage customers with unique and personalized experiences that showcase our product,” said Ranjan Goswami, Vice President – West. “We are proud to be able to highlight via today’s Festival Shuttles the significant investments Delta has made in the customer experience on both coasts.”

The Festival Shuttles to the 2015 Summit at Sea followed on the heels of two other successful shuttle experiences earlier this year: the Sundance Film Festival Shuttle to Park City, Utah; and the SXSW Interactive & Film Festival Shuttle to Austin, Texas.
