OREANDA-NEWS. In Kiev on November 16 in the framework of the round table the presentation capabilities of Trans-Caspian international transport route China – Europe have been held.

The event was attended by representatives of the railway administrations of Ukraine and Kazakhstan, maritime administrations and large transport and logistics operators in Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan, and Georgia. The round table on the development TMTM was also attended by the Ambassador of the Republic of Kazakhstan in Ukraine Z.Turisbekov, Deputy Minister of Infrastructure of Ukraine N.Snitko and CEO of JSC "Ukrzaliznitsya" A.Zavgorodny.

As mentioned the Managing Director of logistics of JSC "NC" Kazakhstan Temir Zholy" Arman Sultanov," TMTM project initiated by the President of JSC "NC" Kazakhstan Temir Zholy" Askar Mamin. The route is aimed at increasing the transit potential of the Caspian region and the integration of this area in the transportation of goods between Europe and Asia".

Alexander Zavgorodniy, in turn, added that "the JSC "Ukrzaliznitsya" is ready to join the development of transport in this direction and using Ukrainian transport infrastructure".

In July this year It was launched the first container train «Nomad Express» from China (Shihezi) - Kazakhstan (Dostyk-Aktau port) - Azerbaijan (Kishly). Distance length of 4726 km of the train crossed in just 6 days.

At the end of November, together with the Chinese side will be organized container service «Nomad Express» from China - Kazakhstan - Azerbaijan - Georgia - Turkey (Istanbul).

At present, it worked out the possibility of sending goods by TMTM route through Ukraine and further to Europe and back.

TMTM project has great opportunities and the potential for the realization of transit potential and the development of trade on the Eurasian continent. This will expand the horizons of cooperation with the countries of Southern and Eastern Europe and the Baltic States.

Development of TMTM also aimed at the implementation of the Action Plan "Ukraine-Kazakhstan for 2015-2017 years (" Roadmap - 5 "), signed by the Heads of State of Kazakhstan and Ukraine in October this year.

Overall, the event caused a great interest among Ukrainian partners and shippers.
