OREANDA-NEWS. Power management company Eaton today announced the launch of its Power Xpert™ 9395 high performance uninterruptible power system (UPS) in Canada, offering its first all-new 600-volt (V) UPS solution for the Canadian market in more than a decade. The first 600V UPS solution to leverage the latest in insulated gate bipolar transistor (IGBT) technology, Eaton’s Power Xpert 9395 high performance UPS provides Canadian customers with the highest efficiency, highest power density and lowest harmonic distortion in the industry for next-level support of large facilities and multi-tenant data centers (MTDCs).

Building on Eaton’s technological leadership and proven reliability of its flagship Power Xpert 9395 UPS, the Power Xpert 9395 high performance UPS offers up to 99 percent efficiency across most loads through Eaton’s groundbreaking Energy Saver System (ESS) and double-conversion efficiency up to 96 percent – designed to allow users to support critical business processes while reducing total cost of ownership (TCO). The innovative Variable Module Management System (VMMS) offers greater efficiency in double-conversion for data centers operating at light loads. With inherent, built-in redundancy, the high performance model is also engineered to share the load when power capacity is below 50 to 75 percent for enhanced reliability.

“Eaton’s Power Xpert 9395 high performance UPS addresses key priorities for large facilities today, helping data center managers establish a modern power protection strategy that supports evolving power management needs,” said Umesh Patel, general manager, Eaton’s Power Quality Division, Canada.” Allowing Canadian customers to advance efficiency and lower TCO, the Power Xpert 9395 UPS is engineered to provide a best-in-class solution to maximize their return on investment.”

In addition to its industry-leading power management capabilities, Eaton’s Power Xpert 9395 high performance UPS allows customers to save on utility costs and space. Eaton’s latest platform provides up to 10 percent more power than traditional UPSs, allowing users to power up to 10 percent more racks for enhanced scalability. Eaton’s Power Xpert 9395 high performance UPS can also reduce heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) and other operational costs, as it’s designed to produce up to 37 percent less heat than competitive solutions without sacrificing reliability.

The Power Xpert™ 9395 high performance UPS also features a modular design, allowing users to increase power capacity at any time simply by adding one additional power module of 275 kilovolt-amperes (kVA) up to 1100 kVA. Eliminating the need for low harmonic input filters, the Power Xpert 9395 high performance UPS provides more reliable performance by reducing component count and improving operation with generator sources.

The Power Xpert 9395 high performance UPS’ advanced touchscreen liquid crystal display (LCD) combines aesthetics with ease-of-use and reliability. The innovative and sleek touchscreen shares graphical energy data to help data center and facility operators better manage power consumption and costs.
