The discussion will be moderated by Julian Kettle, Vice Chairman, Metals & Mining, Wood Mackenzie.

The key topic of the second session will be the situation in the Russian metals and mining sector. Participants will discuss the position Russian producers occupy with regard to their global competitors, challenges currently faced by the industry and prospects for investment projects. Heads of major corporations and representatives of the banking sector will take part in the discussion, which will be moderated by Evgeny Gavrilenkov, Chief Economist, Managing Director, Sberbank CIB.

During the panel discussions on the steel, gold mining and the fertilizer sectors, the CEOs of leading Russian companies, experts, and representatives of consultancy companies will discuss the issues and opportunities for business in a sectoral context.

Oleg Ganeev, Deputy Chairman of the Executive Board of Sberbank, Head of Sberbank CIB, commented: "Sberbank CIB not only offers a comprehensive range of products, but also possesses in-depth industry expertise. We hold industry events and pay special attention to communicating with clients, which allows us to clearly understand the challenges at hand. Our metals and mining conference is yet another opportunity for experts, clients, bankers and government officials to look at the sector from different points of view and determine optimal medium-term development strategies."

"More than 300 delegates will attend our event, which shows that the decision to hold an industry conference was well timed. When drawing conclusions about the outgoing year and making plans for 2016, it is important for representatives of leading Russian companies from the sector to meet at an event where they can discuss the tendencies that are inherent to the current phase of the commodity cycle and identify current trends and sources for growth. We hope that our conference will be productive for everyone involved and become an annual event," commented Irina Lapshina, Senior Analyst, Metallurgy and Chemicals, Sberbank Investment Research.
