These data were obtained in the course of an online survey conducted in November of 2015 by the analytic agency "AUTOSTAT", together with AVITO Auto, which was attended by over 8500 car owners.

Owners of newer cars (up to 3 years) are trying to save less on "consumables" (54%). Among the owners of cars older than 3 years, even more (63%) of those who have to buy cheaper supplies to save money.

The most common way to save - is to move to less expensive motor oil (purchase of domestic oil, buy oil in bulk, etc.). About 2% of car owners have indicated that in 2015 they change rarely the oil and carry out maintenance. So the owner of the Renault Logan of 2012 from Stavropol region said that he increased the mileage between maintenances from 10,000 km to 15,000 km.

In addition, the Russian car owners stop to buy chemicals and auto cosmetics. For example, the owner of the Nissan Qashqai from Nizhny Novgorod Region said that he buy less fragrances for salon cars, choose the cheaper "anti-freeze" for glasses. And the owner of the Chevrolet Cruze of 2013 from the Republic of Mari El shared that he bought wipers BOSCH for 1600 rubles.

Motorists also say that they began to look into online stores and make purchases online.
