OREANDA-NEWS. The first six months since the launch of Deutsche Börse Venture Network, its programme to help young growth companies raise financing, has proved positive with 43 new investors joining the platform since this quarter alone, taking it past the 100-investor milestone. It also welcomed 12 new growth companies, which makes a total of 52 growth companies and 107 investors active on the platform in December 2015.

The companies on the platform represent the following sectors: ecommerce (14), fintech (11), biotech (6), Internet services (4), digital media (3), computer software (2), IT/SaaS (2), healthtech (3), gaming (1), virtual cloud printing (1), cleantech (1), industrytech (1), edtech (1) and consumer (1). They provide a total of around 7,000 jobs and report average annual growth of over 30 percent.

In addition to the online platform, the Venture Network also provides various training opportunities and workshops that prepare businesses for going to market and are tailored to the objectives and strategies of each company. These management training courses have been very well received by the growth companies, with 20 having signed up thus far.

The Deutsche Börse Venture Network supports businesses and investors in expanding their networks and has brought them together at 14 events since June. These have included investor talks in the US, and over 280 one-on-one meetings between companies and investors.
