OREANDA-NEWS. Deutsche Börse AG, represented by CEO Carsten Kengeter, and the specialists active on the Frankfurt trading floor today announced the total amount raised in a joint trading fundraiser. The amount of funds raised totalled €90,000, of which Deutsche Börse donated €50,000 to the Frankfurter Tafel food bank and the specialists €40,000 to the children's hospice organisation Bärenherz Stiftung.

The funds for the two charities were raised through the donation of transaction and trading fees via Börse Frankfurt's trading fundraiser event on 8 December. Investors who traded equities, bonds, funds, ETFs or exchange traded products on Börse Frankfurt that day, automatically supported both causes.

The specialists decided to donate their trading fees to the Bärenherz Stiftung in Wiesbaden, which supports projects and institutions for terminally ill children. Deutsche Börse donated its trading proceeds to the Frankfurter Tafel, an organisation that distributes food to needy families and individuals in the Rhine-Main area.

Furthermore, the online broker Flatex also participated in the event, donating an additional €2,500 to Bärenherz Stiftung.
