OREANDA-NEWS. Sales of passenger cars in Europe in November grew by 13.7% to 1 million 124 thousand 964 vehicles. According to the European Automobile Manufacturers Association (ACEA), the positive result was recorded in most EU countries, including all major car markets of Europe - from 3.8% in the UK to 25.4% in Spain. For the eleven months of 2015 car sales in Europe was 13,045, 791 units – more by 8.6% than a year before.

As noted in the review of the European car market in November, the largest number of cars among automakers in the European Union in the last month was sold by Volkswagen - 137,559 vehicles (+ 3.1%). Second place is kept by Ford with index of 77,865 sold vehicles (+ 20.5%). In the third place there is Renault, which sold 78856 cars - more by 19% than the year before. The "top five" leaders is closed by the Opel / Vauxhall (75483 units, + 18.7%) and Peugeot (67610 units, + 16%).
