OREANDA-NEWS. Gazpromneft-Aero, operator of the Gazprom Neft aviation fuels business, has begun supplying Volga-Dnepr flights at Kamran International Airport in the city of Kamran, Vietnam, extending its aviation refuelling network in this country to three airports. The company is already refuelling flights in Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi.

Supplies to Vietnam are undertaken on the basis of an aviation fuel network supply agreement between Gazpromneft-Aero and national supplier Petrolimex Aviation, guaranteeing supplies to the company’s clients at local airports. Total volumes of aviation fuels supplied by Gazpromneft-Aero in 2015 will exceed 21,000 tonnes — a two-fold increase on 2014.

Gazpromneft-Aero CEO Vladimir Egorov commented: “Increasing demand for tourist flights to Vietnam and other countries in the Asia—Pacific means Gazpromneft-Aero is looking to expand its collaboration with aviation companies in aircraft refuelling in this very promising market. The company’s strategy envisages the further expansion of our international airport network in collaboration with local suppliers, meaning we can guarantee air carriers timely refuelling services and excellent quality fuel.”

Gazpromneft-Aero is a subsidiary of Gazprom Neft. The company has been involved in aircraft refuelling and the “wing-tip” supply of aviation fuels since 1st January 2008. Gazpromneft Aero has been an aviation-fuel strategic partner of the International Air Transport Association (IATA) since December 2008. Gazpromneft Aero holds a leading position in the Russian market in terms of total sales volumes of aviation fuels. The company’s use of technology ensures its full compliance with the highest standards in refuelling operations, i.e. “Green”.
