Largest Mine of SUEK is Celebrating Its Anniversary
OREANDA-NEWS. The team of "S.M. Kirov" mine (Leninsk-Kuznetsky), part of the company SUEK-Kuzbass, celebrated its 80th anniversary.
On account of the "Kirov workers" there are many high-profile labor victories. The company is considered to be a "forge" of records.
Brigades of miners, led by the Heroes of Socialist Labor Ivan Rogowski and Yakov Chekmarev brought glory to Kuzbass and across the country.
An important stage in its history was the inclusion of the Siberian Coal Energy Company in 2003. Back then the SUEK Board of Directors, led by Andrey Melnichenko, accepted a comprehensive strategic program aimed at maintaining and increasing the capacity of SUEK enterprises and mines in Kuzbass and the "S.M. Kirov" mine in particular.
Every year more than a billion rubles are directed to technical re-equipment and improvement of security systems. It was only in the last five years that a powerful second section of the enrichment plant was built, complete pipelining of the transport line was made, length of working faces increased, carriage of people, materials and equipment to the monorail diesel - hydraulic locomotives completely transferred.
For the first time in the Russian coal industry the company implemented a unique project "Utilization of degassing methane in the mines", carried out in accordance with Article 6 of the Kyoto Protocol to the UN Framework Convention - the above-ground structures' complex was built, which allows processing of coal mine methane into heat and electricity.
As a result, of the measures taken, coal production in the last 12 years increased from 2.7 million tonnes to 4.5 million tonnes, and by this indicator the "S.M. Kirov" mine is SUEK's largest. The company was recognized four times as the best in underground mining in the Kemerovo region. The pride of the coal industry is headed by face teams Kuzbass Heors Boris Mikhalev, Anatolii Kolomenskiy.Many high-profile records on speed drifting are on account of the preparatory teams. In the anniversary year, "Kirov workers" continue to show new high results.
Thus the face team of Jury Soldatenko for the first time in the mine reached the production mode in complex geological conditions of the Polenovskogo formation at three hundred thousand tonnes of coal per month.
Congratulating the anniversary, the General Director of OJSC "SUEK-Kuzbass" Evgeniy Yutyaev noted that the history of the "S.M. Kirov" mine can be an encyclopedia of the coal industry in the country, and he has no doubt that the highly professional team of the company will be able to become a writer worthy of production achievements again and again.
As part of the celebrations, a large group of "S.M. Kirov" mine miners received departmental, regional, municipal and corporate awards.
Memorable gifts were presented to the honored veterans and former head of the company. By tradition, the reward for the whole team became a certificate by the company for one million rubles, and a gala concert.
