OREANDA-NEWS. Lincoln finished the year on a high note with a really strong December.

The luxury brand’s December U.S. sales were up 12 percent over last year, with retail sales up 13 percent, marking the best December since 2006.

“It was great to see such strength in December’s results,” said U.S. Sales Analyst Erich Merkle.  “Lincoln’s new products are providing great momentum, with MKX hitting its stride and performing well alongside MKC.”

New products propelled Lincoln over and above the 100,000 vehicle mark for the first time since 2008. MKC sales were up 88 percent for the year and the all-new MKX posted a 77 percent increase in December.

“It’s great to see the newest Lincoln products resonating so well in the marketplace,” said Merkle.  “We have more products to look forward to this year with the new MKZ and all-new Continental.”
