OREANDA-NEWS. Tele2, an alternative mobile operator, and the Tver Region government have signed an agreement on cooperation in developing telecom sector. Tele2 is planning to invest around 1.1 bn rubles in the region’s mobile infrastructure in 2015−2019, which will allow considerable expansion of the 3G network in Tver Region.

The agreement has been signed by Tele2 CEO Mikhail Noskov and Tver Region Governor Andrey Shevelev. The agreement is seeking to lay foundation for cooperation between Tele2 and Tver Region’s government, increase investment into regional economy and implement social and economic projects. The sides will join their efforts to improve the quality of connections in the region and inform residents of existing and promising information services.

The signing of the document is aiming to solve an important social task of Tver Region – to provide high-quality voice and mobile Internet at low prices. As a part of the agreement, Tele2 will continue paying special attention to development of the network, high-speed wireless Internet as well as raising availability of mobile services in small and remote residential areas and territories located along federal thoroughfares.
