OREANDA-NEWS. Ford Brazil?s heavy truck division reported its sales results in 2015 in the Brazilian market: 18% of market share with a gain of 3.7 percentage points over the previous year.

Ford Trucks has a wide range of commercial vehicles from F-350 and F-4000 4x2 and 4x4 to Cargo line from 3.5-56 tons for business activities.

“Despite the significant drop in sales in terms of total volume in the trucks industry, which reached 47.6%, Ford was the least affected, mainly due to the arrival of the F Series models. Ford's volume reduction was of 34.1%, assuring this significant gain in share”, says Antonio Baltar, marketing and sales manager of truck division.

Ford kept its lead in the light truck segment (3.5 to 11 ton), the biggest of the industry, especially due to F Series models and Cargo light models sales performance.

Another highlight of Ford was the growth in share of the 6x4 medium truck segment, mainly used in applications such as construction and mining.
