OREANDA-NEWS. In accordance with the NBU Order dated 18 January 2016, Ms Kateryna Rozhkova has been appointed as Acting Deputy Governor of the National Bank of Ukraine. In her new job, Ms Rozhkova will be responsible for prudential supervision. 

“Ms Rozhkova has been employed in the banking industry since 1998. She has held senior managerial positions in foreign and domestic banks.  Ms Rozhkova has profound knowledge and understanding of the banking sector. We are moving to the phase of restarting the banking sector and expect a cluster of departments responsible for prudential supervision to take decisive action to make the banking sector fully transparent, viable and strong, thus providing a foundation for the development of Ukraine’s  financial system While working at the NBU, Ms Rozhkova has proved her ability to take decisive action and make professional decisions,” said NBU Governor Ms Gontareva, commenting on this appointment.

On 10 June 2015, Kateryna Rozhkova was appointed Director of the NBU Banking Supervision Department.

NBU First Deputy Governor Mr Pysaruk had been in charge of prudential supervision prior to Ms Rozhkova’s appointment. On 31 January 2015, Mr Pysaruk left his job as NBU First Deputy Governor to return  international activities.

On 10 December 2015, the NBU announced a Board reshuffle and announced Ms Rozhkova’s appointment as NBU Deputy Governor.  This appointment is subject to approval by the NBU Council which has not been formed yet.  Ms Rozhkova will serve as acting Deputy Governor until her appointment is approved by the NBU Council.

In 1997, graduated from Kyiv National Economic University, major in Finance and Credit – Banking Management, with a master's degree in business administration; and in 2002  - graduated from the International Management Institute, major  in International Business Management, with a degree a degree in International Business Management.

Kateryna Rozhkova has spent her entire career working in the banking industry. During 1998 – 2005, she was  employed at Aval JSPP. Kateryna Rozhkova  worked her way through, from economist to Director of the Finance Department. In 2006 – 2008, she served as Deputy Chair of the Management Board, a member of the Management Board, a senior executive responsible for financial monitoring, and an advisor to the Chair of the Management  Board at Erste Bank PJSC. Afterwards, she was in charge of the NBU Off-Site Supervision Department for half a year until the end of 2009. In 2010 – 2013, she  served as Deputy Chair of the Board of Directors at FINBANK PJSC.

Starting from 2013, Kateryna Rozhkova worked as Deputy Chair of the Management Board at Platinum Bank PJSC, and from 2014 till her appointment to the National Bank of Ukraine she served as Acting Chair of the Management Boardat this bank.
