OREANDA-NEWS. Ford, the number one CV in brand in Europe, enjoyed spectacular success in the sector in Germany in 2015 with registrations reaching record levels, up 18 per cent compared with the previous year.

In total Ford in Germany reported 34,972 newly registered commercial vehicles, driving market share up to 10.7 per cent - its highest since 1997.

“This success is on the one hand a positive result of our commercial vehicle product offensive,” said Wolfgang Kopplin, Director of Marketing and Sales at Ford of Germany. “Our partners, businesses such as Ford Transit Centers specializing in commercial vehicles, have also been instrumental in our success.”

Among the most impressive performers for Ford in Germany was Ranger which took No.1 spot in the pickup segment with 5,690 units registered, giving a market share of 32.7 per cent. Transit Connect registrations soared 33.4 per cent in 2015 to 5,220 units.

The Ford sales and service network in Germany now includes 250 Ford Transit Centers offering extended opening times as well as a pickup and delivery service.
