OREANDA-NEWS. Hyundai Motor America named Robin Warner manager of Midwest product public relations. Warner is Hyundai’s contact for Midwest-based journalists and is responsible for product communications for the Hyundai family of crossovers (Santa Fe, Santa Fe Sport and Tucson). Warner is based in Superior Township, Mich., at the Hyundai America Technical Center, Inc. facility.

Prior to joining Hyundai, Warner spent more than three years at Road & Track. As the road test editor for the Ann Arbor-based publication, Warner track tested many new vehicles, created a weather correction method testing, and wrote stories for both print and Web. Before Road & Track, Warner worked for Engineering Technology Associates (under a Ford vehicle dynamics contract), TRW Automotive (as a slip-controls engineer) and Car and Driver (holding several positions over eight years).

“Robin’s combination of automotive journalism and engineering experience makes him uniquely knowledgeable to address the needs of Midwest media,” said Jim Trainor, senior group manager, product public relations, Hyundai Motor America. “Hyundai is committed to providing excellent communications to Midwestern automotive journalists and Robin will provide an avenue for journalists to receive regular information from us.”

Warner earned his Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from University of Michigan, Dearborn, and a Master of Business Administration from the Ross School of Business at University of Michigan. In his free time, he co-hosts a podcast about major racing series.
