OREANDA-NEWS. Europe’s best-selling small car, Ford Fiesta, has won the Green Prix 2016, an Italian award that recognises environmental excellence.

The honour is bestowed as part of 'No Smog Mobility ', a show dedicated to the analysis of sustainable mobility solutions.

The Green Prix jury, chaired by journalist Italo Cucci, attributed the award to Ford Fiesta celebrating the success achieved in 2015 when it was the most in demand LPG car in Italy with 11,000 units sold.

"Ford Fiesta has been the best-selling LPG car in Italy for two consecutive years. It underlines the Blue Oval's commitment to offering its customers a range of solutions for driving 'green'," said Domenico Chianese, President and Chief Managing Director of Ford Italy.

As part of the Green Prix celebrations, a small urban forest consisting of 60 trees will be planted within the Palermo University campus where the annual 'No Smog Mobility' exhibition is held.
