OREANDA-NEWS. Analytic agency "AUTOSTAT" has conducted research and it made a rating of Russian cities in terms of revenue from the sale of new cars in 2015. The study was conducted among cities with populations over 1 million people, with taking into account the volume of the market, and the average weighted price by the car brands. In this case, the rating did not include Moscow and St. Petersburg, which are separate subjects of the Russian Federation and with a noticeable margin ahead of the rest of the cities, both by population and by revenue.

At the end of 2015 Kazan residents spent most of all for the purchase of new cars - 26.4 billion rubles, which is less by 33% than the year before. In the second place there is Yekaterinburg, where the size of the market in monetary terms was 23.8 billion rubles, by losing 40%, in compare with the previous year result. Samara closes the top-three among the cities-millionaires, in which it was spent on the purchase of cars 20 billion rubles (-37%). The top-five also included Nizhny Novgorod and Rostov-on-Don (18.3 and 17.8 billion rubles, respectively). Then Ufa, Chelyabinsk, Voronezh, Perm, Novosibirsk, Volgograd and Krasnoyarsk follow - in each of these cities the revenue from sales of passenger car in 2015 exceeded 10 billion rubles. The last in the ranking of cities-millionaires is Omsk, whose figure is below this mark.
