OREANDA-NEWS. As part of its continued expansion in Middle East and Africa, Ford Motor Company today announced the appointment of Emin Auto as an additional new distributor in the important market of Algeria, doubling its representation network in the important market of Algeria.

Emin Auto has been doing business in Algeria since 2000 representing multiple automotive brands.

“As part of Ford’s long term commitment to Algeria, we are very pleased to announce Emin Auto as our additional new distributor in Algeria,” said Kalyana Sivagnanam, vice president of marketing sales and service for Ford Middle East and Africa. “Emin Auto has the track record and regional footprint to ensure Ford customers in Algeria continue to receive exceptional service.

“Ford has big plans for Algeria. I’m happy to announce that in the next couple of years, we will bring two new SUVs, a commercial van and very soon, the all new iconic Mustang,” he added.

As part of its agreement with Ford, Emin Auto will have 20 new Ford 3S dealership facilities (Sales, Service and Parts) in Algeria in the near term, and will build 15 new retail outlets longer term.

The Algeria automotive market was estimated to be 350,000 vehicles in 2014 and 250,000 vehicles in 2015. It remains one of the most promising markets in Africa.
