OREANDA-NEWS. Janus Capital Group, Inc., (NYSE:JNS) today announced it has filed a registration statement with the Securities and Exchange Commission for four thematic ETFs that seek to provide investment exposure to companies that play a role in long-term global demographic and consumer shifts.  These themes include: long-term care for the elderly, an increased focus on health and fitness, the treatment and care for obesity and an increased demand for organic products.

Global demographic and consumer shifts are changing the investment landscape and are expected to create opportunities for investors over the next several decades.

“Our advisor clients are increasingly using sector and thematic products in their client portfolios,” said Nick Cherney, senior vice president and head of exchange traded products for Janus Capital Group.  “We want to provide clients with a broad range of investment tools to help them build their practice and deliver better client outcomes.  We believe these ETFs provide an opportunity to gain exposure to these long-term demographic and consumer themes and create value for clients.”

The four ETFs include The Long-Term Care ETF, The Health and Fitness ETF, The Obesity ETF and The Organics ETF.  These ETFs are managed by the Janus Exchange Traded Products team and are not actively managed products.  If all approvals are granted, each of the ETFs would be expected to launch on or around May 31, 2016.
